BLUNT TAPE VOL. 1 is a collection of organic sample driven Hip-Hop instrumentals produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Origin of Spin from 2018-2019 in Saskatchewan, Canada.

"The idea of BLUNT TAPE came to me after I tore my right ACL from a skateboarding injury. All I could do was sit on my ass and make beats. So I compiled my favorites I made that year into an album with the intention that people could have a chill beat tape to listen to while skateboarding/snowboarding, playing sports, exercising, freestyle rapping, smoking buddha and having adventures in nature, most of the things I couldn't do with a bunk leg. If you had a good time doing any of those things while listening to the tape, then I guess I've done my job." - Origin of Spin
